1. Campaign Structure

The Young K-Explorer: Travel & Learn Campaign offers two separate benefits:

  • the Travel Benefit, consisting of a KRW 80,000 Korean Air e-Gift Card; and
  • the Learn Benefit, consisting of information about application fee waivers and other benefits available for selected 2027 Korean university language programmes.

Applicants may apply for either benefit or both benefits, provided that they meet the applicable eligibility requirements.

Eligibility for one benefit does not automatically qualify an applicant for the other benefit.

2. General Eligibility

All applicants must:

  • be aged 18 or over at the time of registration;
  • be residents of the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland;
  • complete the relevant sections of the online registration form;
  • provide true and accurate information; and
  • submit their registration within the applicable campaign or registration period.

Different eligibility requirements apply to the Travel Benefit and the Learn Benefit, as set out below.

3. Travel Benefit Eligibility

The Travel Benefit is available only to applicants who:

  • are aged 18–30 at the time of registration;
  • complete all required Travel Benefit sections;
  • submit their registration during the campaign period; and
  • meet all other applicable campaign requirements.

Applicants aged 31 or over are not eligible for the Travel Benefit but may still register for the Learn Benefit.

Registration does not guarantee receipt of the Travel Benefit.

4. Eligibility Verification

The Organiser reserves the right to verify an applicant's:

  • age;
  • identity;
  • country of residence; and
  • other information relevant to eligibility for the Travel Benefit.

The Organiser may request supporting documentation where reasonably necessary before issuing the Travel Benefit.

Applicants who fail to provide the requested documentation, or who provide false, misleading or fraudulent information, may be disqualified.

Eligibility verification for the Travel Benefit does not apply to applicants who register only for the Learn Benefit, except where verification is reasonably necessary to confirm that the applicant is aged 18 or over.

5. Travel Benefit Selection and Distribution

The Travel Benefit (KRW 80,000 Korean Air e-Gift Card) is limited to the first 100 eligible applicants who meet all applicable eligibility requirements.

Redemption codes will not be issued immediately upon registration.

Following the end of the campaign period, the Organiser will:

  • review submitted registrations;
  • verify eligibility where necessary; and
  • identify the first 100 eligible Travel Benefit applicants.

Each successful applicant will receive one unique redemption code for a KRW 80,000 Korean Air e-Gift Card.

The redemption code will be sent to the email address provided during registration after the campaign has closed.

The Organiser is not responsible where an applicant fails to receive an email due to:

  • an incorrect or incomplete email address;
  • spam or junk-mail filtering;
  • mailbox restrictions;
  • technical issues outside the Organiser's reasonable control; or
  • the applicant's failure to check the relevant email account.

6. Use of the Korean Air e-Gift Card

The KRW 80,000 Korean Air e-Gift Card may be redeemed towards eligible Korean Air products or services, including eligible:

  • Korean Air flight tickets;
  • seat-selection services;
  • excess baggage; and
  • other applicable services available through the Korean Air website or mobile application.

The Korean Air e-Gift Card is valid for one year from the date of issue.

Use of the Korean Air e-Gift Card is subject to Korean Air's applicable terms and conditions, including any:

  • validity period;
  • booking requirements;
  • eligible routes or services;
  • restrictions;
  • exclusions; and
  • redemption procedures.

Applicants are responsible for reviewing and complying with Korean Air's applicable terms and conditions before using the e-Gift Card.

The Organiser is not responsible for Korean Air's booking, payment or redemption systems, or for any changes made by Korean Air to the terms governing use of the e-Gift Card.

7. Learn Benefit Eligibility

The Learn Benefit is available to anyone aged 18 or over at the time of registration.

There is no upper age limit for the Learn Benefit.

Applicants do not need to:

  • be aged 18–30; or
  • apply for or qualify for the Travel Benefit

in order to register for the Learn Benefit, unless an individual participating university specifies additional eligibility requirements for its own programme or benefit.

To register for the Learn Benefit, applicants must:

  • select the Learn Benefit in the registration form;
  • select at least one participating university;
  • provide the required consent for their first name, last name, email address to be shared with their selected university or universities; and
  • submit their registration by 30 November 2026.

8. Korean University Language Programme Benefits

The Learn Benefit applies only to eligible Korean language programmes commencing in 2027, as specified by each participating university.

Available benefits may include:

  • waived application fees; or
  • other university-specific benefits.

Each participating university will determine:

  • the eligible programme or programmes;
  • the value and type of benefit;
  • the application period;
  • the eligibility requirements;
  • the application process;
  • the validity period; and
  • any additional terms and conditions.

University with the first names, last names, email addresses and countries of residence of applicants who:

  • selected that university; and
  • provided the required consent.

Each participating university will then contact interested applicants directly with information about:

  • eligible 2027 Korean language programmes;
  • available benefits;
  • application requirements;
  • application deadlines;
  • application procedures; and
  • any university-specific conditions.

Registration for the Learn Benefit:

  • does not constitute an application to a university;
  • does not guarantee admission;
  • does not guarantee eligibility for a discount or benefit;
  • does not reserve a place on a programme; and
  • does not guarantee that the university will approve an application.

To receive a benefit, applicants must apply for an eligible 2027 Korean language programme and meet all applicable requirements specified by the relevant participating university.

9. Restrictions

The Travel Benefit, including the Korean Air e-Gift Card and its redemption code, is:

  • non-refundable;
  • not exchangeable for cash;
  • prohibited from being resold; and
  • not redeemable for alternative benefits, services, or products.

Redemption of the Korean Air e-Gift Card remains subject to the carrier's governing terms and conditions.

Unless otherwise stated by the relevant participating university, Learn Benefits are:

  • available only to the registered applicant, subject to any applicable enrolment requirements specified by the relevant participating university;
  • non-transferable;
  • not exchangeable for cash; and
  • valid only for eligible 2027 Korean language programmes and in accordance with any applicable conditions specified by the relevant participating university.

Any additional restrictions applicable to a university benefit will be communicated directly by the relevant university.

10. Use of Registration Information

Information collected through the registration form may be used to:

  • administer the Young K-Explorer Travel & Learn campaign;
  • determine which benefit or benefits an applicant has selected;
  • verify eligibility for the Travel Benefit;
  • identify the first 100 eligible Travel Benefit applicants;
  • distribute Korean Air e-Gift Card redemption codes;
  • communicate with applicants regarding their registration;
  • respond to enquiries;
  • prevent fraudulent or duplicate applications;
  • analyse campaign participation and performance; and
  • prepare aggregated and anonymised statistical reports for campaign partners.

Where an applicant selects the Learn Benefit and provides the required consent, the Organiser may share the applicant's:

  • first name;
  • last name; and
  • email address;

with the participating university or universities selected by that applicant.

This information will be shared solely for the purpose of enabling the selected universities to contact the applicant regarding:

  • eligible 2027 Korean language programmes;
  • available benefits;
  • application procedures;
  • application periods; and
  • applicable eligibility and enrollment requirements.

Applicants who apply only for the Travel Benefit will not have their personal information shared with participating universities for the Learn Benefit.

Applicants who do not provide the required consent will not be registered for the Learn Benefit and their personal information will not be shared with participating universities for that purpose.

11. Communications from Participating Universities

Applicants who select the Learn Benefit and consent to the sharing of their information may receive direct email communications from their selected universities.

The initial communication should relate to the programme information and benefit requested by the applicant.

Any additional marketing communications sent by a participating university will be governed by that university's own privacy policy, marketing-consent process and applicable data-protection requirements.

The Organiser is not responsible for the content, timing or delivery of communications sent independently by participating universities.

12. Optional Marketing Communications

Consent to receive newsletters, promotional emails or information about future campaigns from the Organiser is optional.

Applicants are not required to provide marketing consent in order to:

  • apply for the Travel Benefit;
  • register for the Learn Benefit; or
  • receive any benefit for which they are otherwise eligible.

Applicants who provide marketing consent may withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe function provided in the relevant communication.

13. Duplicate, Incomplete or Fraudulent Registrations

The Organiser may reject or disqualify registrations that are:

  • incomplete;
  • submitted more than once by the same applicant;
  • submitted using false or misleading information;
  • generated through automated or fraudulent means; or
  • otherwise inconsistent with these Terms & Conditions.

Where multiple Travel Benefit registrations are submitted by the same applicant, only the first valid registration may be considered.

14. Campaign Changes

The Organiser reserves the right to amend, suspend, extend or withdraw all or part of the campaign where reasonably necessary, including where circumstances beyond the Organiser's reasonable control affect the proper administration of the campaign.

Where practical, material changes will be communicated through the campaign webpage or another appropriate communication channel.

Any change to a university programme or benefit will be administered by the relevant participating university.

15. Limitation of Responsibility

The Organiser is not responsible for:

  • unsuccessful university applications;
  • university admission decisions;
  • an applicant's eligibility for, or receipt or application of, any university benefit;
  • any fees paid to a participating university or any refund, cancellation or withdrawal relating to those fees;
  • changes to university programmes, fees, application periods or benefits;
  • Korean Air booking or redemption system issues;
  • lost, delayed or undelivered emails caused by circumstances outside the Organiser's reasonable control; or
  • losses arising from an applicant's failure to comply with Korean Air's or a participating university's applicable terms and conditions.

16. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a registration, applicants confirm that they have read and accepted the Organiser's Privacy Policy and these Terms & Conditions.

Applicants who select the Travel Benefit agree to the provisions applicable to the Travel Benefit.

Applicants who select the Learn Benefit and provide the required consent agree to the provisions governing:

  • the Learn Benefit;
  • the sharing of their name, email address and country of residence with their selected universities; and
  • direct contact from those universities regarding eligible 2027 Korean language programmes and available benefits.
