From July 8 to July 21, prize-winning works from the annual ‘Korea Tourist Souvenir Contest’ will be sold at Lotte Department Store (Main Branch) for two weeks.
Since 1998, the ‘Korea Tourist Souvenir Contest’ is held every year by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and the Korea Tourism Organization in order to discover and support the creation of tourist souvenirs. The award winning souvenirs will be available for sale in seven stores throughout the country, including the National Souvenir Center located in Insa-dong, Seoul.
Operated in the form of a pop-up store in collaboration with Lotte Department Store, 31 souvenirs will be up for sale whereby 21 souvenirs are winning entries from 2013 to 2015 Korea Tourist Souvenir Contest, and 10 souvenirs are the most popular items sold at the National Souvenir Center, and the souvenir shop in Home Plus (Haeundae Branch). Hence, visitors to the store can find a variety of souvenirs ranging from the most popular ones among tourists to novel designs from the Korea Tourist Souvenir Contest.
