Feel the Winter Olympics with Korea Tourism Organization at WTM

The Korea Tourism Organization is exhibiting at World Travel Market. Mr. Changsoo Jung. The CEO of the organization is attending the show that is held for 3 days from 6th to 8th November at London ExCel. The KTO is focusing on promoting the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games at the show and introducing Korea tourism through activities and interaction on the stand.

WTM is one of the largest leading tourism exhibitions in the world with over 80,000 visitors every year and 5,000 national tourist boards and tour operators attending from 186 countries. Through this show KTO will have an opportunity to meet visitors and other tour companies to promote and develop tour products.

This year, there will be a special activity at the Korean stand during the show. Visitors to the stand will be given the opportunity to have a 3D miniature figure made of themselves cheering for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games. As the miniature figures are created via 3D printing technology, it reproduces human figures realistically based on the photo shot at the event booth. And selected 2,018 figures will be displayed at the miniature stadium in PyeongChang.

Visitors can also enjoy other onsite events such as a curling experience, photo zone with PyeongChang mascots, creating Korean style postcards and decorating Olympic medals. Also through virtual reality visitors can explore Korea’s main tourist attractions and UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Mr. Jung said ‘We would like to take this opportunity to especially promote Korea’s historical and cultural sides and it will be also a good time to talk about PyeongChang 2018. We will promote Korea tourism to the global tourism market and media, which would help overseas visitors understand the beauty of Korea and bring increased numbers of visitors.’

Mr. Jung will be interviewed by Eurosport TV, Selling Travel and ABTA Magazine to promote Korea tourism and the coming Olympics.
